Dear journey companion,
Today was an interesting one. I took a ride to Azusa with a woman I use to see as someone I was discipling. She was such a joy when she served in the ministry I was leading over four years ago.
She and I use to have conversations that truly warmed my heart and kept me thinking about them for days.
You see we were both women back then that were no stranger to rejection and the inferior belief that we could not do what others did.
Fast forward to today – she and I both shared stories of our victories and our failures and what stuck with me is that we never gave up. We aren’t where we want to be but we are surely on our way to where God wants us.
Rejection has become such a part of our fabric that it was in charge of things. Today God is such a larger part that rejection has to submit. We have learned to encourage ourselves when others would not. We have learned to rely on God and step out into community even when it was scary.
Moral: rejection is there. Rejection is not a problem it’s an opportunity. Keep moving forward. Love God, love yourself and love others.
