Good morning journey companion,
The emotion offense keeps coming up in conversation. Either some is offending me or I have caused an offense to someone.
I learned that from unresolved offense my mind is a breading ground for bitterness and discontentment. So I have been on this journey of leading with love and integrity. I address the moments of offense and quickly let them go. I no longer allow myself to let the yucky offense build it’s foundation.
Often I have to tell myself an encouraging story about the offense so I can process it in a way that honors the person who offended me. I also spend time in prayer asking for God to show me the other person’s perspective and help me forgive them.
I pray that if you ever left a place or situation because of offense that you are able to have God help you heal from that.
I pray that we become more aware as followers of Jesus Christ that we have our eyes opened to where we might be offending others.
I pray we lead with love and only set expectations on people and discuss what they are. I pray that we become a transparent people who accept we are all imperfect people on a journey to be more Christ like.
I pray that any unresolved offense in you is brought to the feet of the cross I pray you lay it down and allow God to soften your heart and bring healing and allow you to move forward toward forgiveness and love. I pray God’s will over your life in all things in the mighty name of Jesus amen.
